• Bay View Farm Kona Coffee Country - Travel south into Kona coffee country for the first stop at Bay View Farm, a working 24-acre coffee farm located on the slopes of Mauna Loa Volcano above beautiful Kealakekua Bay. See coffee growing on the trees and learn about the steps and processes involved in producing Kona coffee, all of which take place right on the farm. Sample 100% Kona Coffee while enjoying beautiful views overlooking Kealakekua Bay and the Captain Cook Monument.
• Punaluu Black Sand Beach - Continue through the South Kona and Ka'u Districts, where the scenery alternates between dramatic lava flows and Hawaiian dry forest. Stop briefly at picturesque Punaluu Black Sand Beach, one of the best-known black sand beaches on the island. Stroll along the coconut palm-lined beach and keep an eye out for honu, Hawaiian green sea turtles, which may be feeding just offshore or resting on the sand.
• Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - Travel to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and explore several of the park's notable sights. Visit the Kilauea Visitor Center, Kilauea Iki Crater Overlook, and Steaming Bluffs. Take a walk through the historic Volcano House for views of the smoking and steaming Kilauea Caldera.
• Big Island Candies - Descend into the lush eastern side of Kilauea Volcano for a stop at Big Island Candies. Founded in 1977, Big Island Candies is known for its handmade confections made with high-quality ingredients. Enjoy samples, browse the selection of treats and gifts, and peek through the factory windows to see some of the products being made.
• Historic Hilo and Rainbow Falls - Travel through quaint Hilo town and along its historic waterfront before continuing to stunning Rainbow Falls. Enjoy views of this beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush tropical scenery.
• Waipio Valley Overlook - Continue to Waipio Valley, known as the Valley of Kings. From the overlook, take in spectacular views of steep cliffs and waterfalls cascading more than a thousand feet toward the valley floor. Waipio Valley remains home to taro farmers, continuing an agricultural tradition that has existed for generations. Look closely and you may even catch a glimpse of the wild horses that roam the valley floor.
