About this experience
This is your chance to go standup paddling, the fastest growing water sport, while enjoying the beauty of Hanalei Bay on Kauai. Our lessons start in the river. Instructor, board, paddle and rash guard provided. Lessons approx. 1.5 hours.
Rebirth of an Ancient Sport Some do it because it’s the best workout on the water. Others use it to access surf that’s difficult to tap with prone paddling. But the reason this ancient style is going off is simply that it’s a fun new way to experience being on the water.
Our lessons start in the river. Instructor, board, paddle and rash guard provided.
- Returning students do have discount in rentals after lesson and all of our surf shop items.
- *Must check in a ½ hour prior to lesson start time.
Available Monday- Friday 8:30, 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30 or 1:30 pm
Meet at our Little Grass Hut on Hanalei Bay right next to the Hanalei River Mouth. Look for the surf lesson sign in the trees and head to the upper right hand corner of Hanalei Beach Park.
Difficult for persons well over 200 lbs. as their weight may sink the board.
Children 8 and above normally.
