About this experience
North Kohala is the wet, green, old end of the Big Island — the lands of Kamehameha — and this trip goes into the parts of it nobody else can reach. An off-road drive takes you to an exclusive trailhead, and from there you walk to private waterfalls, tranquil streams and viewpoints over rugged valleys and coastline.
'Ola i ka wai a ka opua' — there is life in the rain. Nowhere in Hawaii is the story of water more evident than here, and the guides tell it well. Six to seven hours, easy to moderate walking, with lunch and all gear provided.
