Zipline Adventures on Maui

Soar over valleys, forests, and coastline

Experience Maui from a bird's eye view on a zipline tour through tropical forests and dramatic mountain valleys.

Why Zipline on Maui?

Maui's diverse terrain -- from deep valleys to coastal cliffs to dense rainforest -- creates some of the most scenic zipline courses in the world. Unlike indoor or flat-terrain courses, Maui's lines span real canyons and gorges, giving you genuine elevation drops and speeds that make the experience thrilling rather than just novel.

Most courses feature 5 to 8 lines of increasing length and height, with guides sharing information about the local ecosystem and Hawaiian history between runs. No prior experience is needed, and modern harness and braking systems make it safe and accessible for most visitors.

Top Zipline Courses

Ka'anapali courses offer ocean views as you zip over deep gulches on the West Maui Mountains. The lines are long, fast, and scenic. Upcountry courses on the slopes of Haleakala zip through eucalyptus forests with views of the central valley. Some courses include rappels, suspension bridges, and other challenge elements between lines.

For families, look for courses that accommodate younger participants (some accept kids as young as 5) and offer dual lines so parents can zip alongside their children. For thrill-seekers, seek out courses advertising their longest or fastest lines.

What to Know Before You Go

Weight and health restrictions apply -- most courses require participants to be between 60 and 250 pounds. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and a camera with a secure strap. Most tours last 2-3 hours including transportation, briefing, and hiking between platforms.

Morning tours are often cooler and less windy. Rain doesn't typically cancel tours (and zipping through mist can be magical), but lightning will. Book in advance, especially during peak season.
